Where is Quercus located?

Quercus is located at 208 Caldwell Street, Gay GA 30218, approximately one hour south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

What type of accommodations do you offer?
How many people do they sleep?

Four well-appointed suites, ranging from one to two bedrooms, offer a place for respite, with vast porches overlooking the land, wood-burning fireplaces, and carefully selected amenities that underscore the cyclical nature of our property. Each bedroom features a king-sized bed, and all suites have a queen-sized pullout couch that can sleep an additional one to two guests.

Do you accommodate children?

At this time, we accommodate young adults aged 16 years and older.

Do you accommodate pets?

Due to the nature of being a working ranch and for the safety of your beloved animals and ours, we do not currently allow pets on premises. Please be aware that our family of farm dogs will be present on property during your stay.

How do you get around the property?

We encourage you to make the most of your time communing with nature by exploring the land on our designated trails. Golf carts will also be provided for guest use on authorized and designated paths.

Do you offer shuttles from the airport?  

We are happy to assist with transportation to/from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Pricing is available upon request.

Do you have a minimum stay policy?

We have a two-night minimum stay. You are welcome to join us for a Thursday & Friday evening booking, or a Saturday & Sunday evening booking. Three and four-night stays are also welcomed, with our maximum stay accommodating four nights at this time (Thursday arrival, Monday departure).

What is your cancellation policy?

Guests may cancel up to 14 days prior to arrival to receive a full refund.

WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK IN?

Check-in begins at 3:00pm. Guests who arrive early can freshen up and relax in our Cottage should their room not be ready for occupation.

Food & Beverage

How are the meals structured?

As part of your all-inclusive booking, meals are included in your stay. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner will be enjoyed at various locations throughout the property, including in-suite, The Cottage, Uberto, and even as a picnic alongside your chosen outdoor excursions.

What beverage is included in the cost per night?

At the time of check-in, you will find a curated selection of beverages to enjoy with our compliments. Additional beverages are available for purchase throughout your stay.

Do you accommodate allergies?

Yes, we are able to accommodate allergies. In advance of your arrival, a member of our concierge team will reach out to connect with you on all facets of your stay including your arrival, special accommodations, and booking any supplemental activities.  

If you have severe allergies or dietary restrictions, please take a moment to connect with our team at that time to ensure we execute a thoughtful experience for you.

Which meals are offered at the restaurant?

Part of your stay at Quercus includes enjoying our multi-course tasting menu from Chef Ryan Smith in the restaurant, Uberto, on the second evening of your stay.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

We provide an array of beverages for purchase to enhance your dining experience. For liability, outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted on property.

Can I make a reservation at Uberto if I am not staying at Quercus?

At this time, Uberto will be accommodating guests staying at Quercus. We have plans to open Uberto to the public at a later date and will keep you updated with our progress.

Does Uberto have a dress code?

Uberto offers fine dining in a relaxed and elegant setting. While we do not have a strict dress code, we ask all guests to dress respectfully while also considering the context of their surroundings. We are a working ranch, and the weather can be unpredictable, at best, which makes high heels and other delicate shoes at risk of damage.

Activities

What activities do you offer?

We are pleased to offer Equestrian, Fishing, Kayaking, Field Sports (with our neighbors at Big Red Oak Plantation), Garden Tours, Cycling, Hiking, and more. To learn more about our activities, please visit our activity page.

Which activities are included in the cost per night?

Rucking around the property is complimentary. Visits to our garden, farm animals, and apiary accommodations are also included, as well as guided tours of our grounds.

All additional guided activities are $195 per person for two hour experiences (not inclusive of tax). In the event you would like to extend your activity, the guided activity is $120 per person for each additional hour (not inclusive of tax).

Wellness appointments are booked in conjunction with Intuitas Wellness (pricing available upon request).

What gear do I need to bring for activities?

Upon securing a reservation, we will provide you with our recommendations for appropriate warm and cold weather clothing. We will provide any technical equipment or supportive items required for you to be successful and comfortable with all our activities.

Participation in cycling will require you to provide your own bicycle.

How do I choose my activities?

Upon booking your reservation, our adventure coordinator will contact you to further schedule your stay. All activities require advance reservations and are subject to availability.

What happens if my activity is cancelled due to weather?

You will not be charged for canceled activities due to inclement weather.

Quercus is located just 45 minutes south of the Atlanta airport in the quiet town of Gay, Georgia. We are five minutes from Big Red Oak Plantation, and only a 25-minute drive from Pine Mountain, Georgia, and beautiful Callaway Gardens.
